As the gunfight between Government Troops and Abu Sayyaf Terrorist Group erupted in Brgy Napo, Inabanga started last April 11, 2017. The Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development immediately deployed personnels to Inabanga to immediately conduct relief operations to families who were displaced due to the gunfight. OPSWD also immediately coordinated with SWAD Office of DSWD F.O. VII for augmentation of relief goods. As a result of the coordination, DSWD F.O. VII also gave food packs on the succeeding days, Philippine National Red Cross also helped in the relief operations. Affected families were sheltered to the different Evacuation Centers in the Municipality of Inabanga. All relief operations are coordinated with LGU Inabanga thru their Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office
Affected Families were given food packs, blankets, mosquito nets, plastic mats and malong from the Provincial Government, a total of 2,707 families received the said items. Affected families from nearby municipality like Clarin and Inabanga were also given food packs. Stress debriefing was also conducted.
